At Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd., we aim to make the payment and booking process transparent, secure and convenient for our travellers and travel partners.
The following Payment Terms apply to bookings made directly with Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd., unless different payment conditions are specifically mentioned in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking will be treated as confirmed only after:
* The required advance payment has been received; and
* Written booking confirmation has been issued by Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
A provisional booking or quotation does not guarantee availability or pricing until the required payment and confirmation conditions have been completed.
2. Advance Payment
The advance amount required for a booking will depend on the itinerary, travel dates, destination, hotel category, supplier conditions and booking requirements.
The applicable advance amount and payment deadline will be clearly mentioned in the quotation or invoice.
Certain hotels, flights, special events, peak-season bookings and other services may require higher advance payments or full payment at the time of confirmation.
3. Balance Payment
The remaining balance must be paid within the payment deadline mentioned in the quotation or booking confirmation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, failure to pay the balance by the specified deadline may result in cancellation or release of the booking and applicable supplier cancellation charges.
For operational reasons, certain bookings may require full payment before the commencement of travel.
4. Payment Schedule
The payment schedule may vary depending on the booking.
A typical payment structure may be:
Advance: As specified in the quotation
Balance: Before the date specified in the booking confirmation
The exact payment schedule communicated for an individual booking shall prevail over any general payment example displayed on the website.
5. Last-Minute Bookings
For bookings made close to the travel date, Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. may require full payment immediately or within a shorter payment period.
Last-minute bookings are subject to immediate availability and supplier confirmation.
6. Currency & Exchange Rate
Prices will be charged in the currency stated in the quotation or invoice.
Where payment is made in a different currency, the applicable exchange rate, bank conversion rate or payment-provider conversion rate may result in a difference in the final amount.
Any bank, intermediary-bank or currency-conversion charges applicable to the transaction may be payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
7. Bank & Payment Gateway Charges
Any payment gateway fees, bank charges, intermediary-bank charges, international transaction fees, currency-conversion charges or other transaction-related costs imposed by financial institutions may be payable by the customer where applicable and legally permissible.
The customer should ensure that the full invoiced amount is received by Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
8. Taxes & GST
Applicable taxes, including GST where applicable, will be charged in accordance with the applicable tax laws and the nature of the services supplied.
Where GST is applicable, the applicable GST amount will be reflected in the relevant quotation or tax invoice.
Any change in applicable tax rates or statutory charges may be reflected in the final amount payable, subject to applicable law.
9. Payment Methods
Payment may be made through the payment methods officially communicated by Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd., which may include:
* Bank transfer;
* Online payment gateway;
* Credit/debit card;
* Other authorised electronic payment methods; or
* Other methods specifically agreed in writing.
Customers should make payments only to officially verified company payment channels.
10. Payment Verification
A payment may remain subject to verification by the company, bank or payment service provider.
A payment receipt, transaction reference or payment screenshot does not by itself constitute final booking confirmation.
Booking confirmation will be issued after successful verification of the payment and availability of the relevant services.
11. Failed, Reversed or Disputed Payments
If a payment is unsuccessful, reversed, charged back or otherwise not received by the company, the booking may remain unpaid and subject to cancellation or release.
Where a payment is disputed through a bank, card issuer or payment provider, the company reserves the right to provide relevant booking, invoice and transaction records to the concerned financial institution or authority, subject to applicable law.
12. Refunds
Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed in accordance with the cancellation conditions applicable to the booking and the terms of the relevant suppliers.
Refunds may be subject to applicable:
* Hotel cancellation charges;
* Airline/railway cancellation charges;
* Supplier charges;
* Payment gateway charges, where applicable;
* Bank charges, where applicable;
* Administrative/service charges, where applicable;
* Non-refundable amounts; and
* Applicable taxes or statutory deductions, where legally applicable.
The actual refundable amount will depend on the amount recoverable from the relevant suppliers and the applicable booking conditions.
13. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be processed through the original payment method, subject to payment-provider and banking procedures.
The time required for the refund to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the bank, card issuer or payment service provider.
Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for delays caused solely by banks, card issuers, payment gateways or other financial institutions.
14. Cancellation by the Customer
Cancellation of a confirmed booking must be communicated to Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. in writing.
The applicable cancellation charges will depend on the cancellation policy communicated in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation and the policies of the relevant suppliers.
Some services may be partially or completely non-refundable.
15. Cancellation or Changes by Suppliers
If a hotel, airline, transport provider, activity provider or other supplier cancels or changes a service, Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative or process an eligible refund, subject to supplier policies and applicable law.
Additional costs arising from an alternative service may be payable by the traveller where applicable.
16. Unused Services
No automatic refund will be provided for services that a traveller voluntarily does not use, including unused hotel nights, sightseeing, meals, transportation or activities, unless a refund is specifically permitted by the applicable supplier or agreed in writing.
17. Promotional & Special Offers
Special promotional rates, early-bird rates, group rates and discounted packages may carry separate payment and cancellation conditions.
Where such special conditions apply, they will be communicated to the customer before confirmation wherever reasonably practicable.
18. Corporate & Travel Trade Bookings
For corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, DMCs and other trade partners, separate credit limits, payment schedules or commercial agreements may apply.
Where a written commercial agreement exists, its payment terms will prevail over these general website Payment Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
19. Payment Security
Customers should never share:
* Card PIN;
* ATM PIN;
* Internet banking password;
* OTP; or
* Other confidential banking credentials
with any person claiming to process a booking on behalf of Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
The company will not request confidential banking credentials for a legitimate booking transaction.
20. Important Notice
A quotation is not a confirmed booking until the required payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Motherland India Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
All payments, cancellations, refunds and booking changes remain subject to the specific conditions communicated for the relevant booking and the applicable laws of India.
Nothing in these Payment Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory right or remedy available to a customer under applicable law.
